Camera not working! October 13, 2007 The cell phone itself it is excellent but unfortunately, the camera simply does not work. I will have to pay for some SE service to repair it. Low quality control from the seller.
very good October 1, 2007 very good phone, I really like it, I have a W810i, but the W710 is really good in comparision.
Great phone September 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like many buyers, I bought this phone from Amazon after reading the reviews and I have been very happy with this phone. After receiving my phone I signed-up with T-mobile as a prepay customer and after inserting the SIM card the phone worked immediately without any problems. The reception and sound was great. Just for fun, I also tried an AT&T sim card on the phone and that worked without any problems as well. I travel to Europe quite often so when I went to Romania on my last trip, I purchased a sim card from Orange with a new number and it worked just fine. The charger on the phone is rated for 100 to 220 V so in Romania, I just had to get an adapter for my US plug.
This phone has some very nice features like music player (supports mp3 and others), FM radio, step counter, and three nice colorful video games. I especially like the fact that I could tune the FM radio or change tunes on the music player without having to open the phone. There are some buttons on the phone that allows you to play, go to the next song or stop in music player mode or change the frequency if you are in radio mode. The sound quality is very nice. The phone came with some software on a CD that was difficult to install. Installation on my XP windows computer was not intuitively obvious. I kept getting a message saying "New hardware found" and it was not until a few tries that I found that I had to keep installing the software until that message went away. There were some other minor complaints that I had with my phone. The earpiece that came with the phone kept falling out of my left ear when I went jogging. The mini-plug kept bouncing up and down while jogging and the weight of it would pull the earpiece out of my ear. The headphone cord is definitely a bit long, but not too bothersome. The armband that came with the phone held the phone quite well. The phone takes both video and still photos. The photo quality of the phone could use some improvement. The picture seems to be decent when there is plenty of light, but it seems to get worse when the background is a little dark. It seems to take better videos though. There is a nice zoom feature when you are taking videos, but you cannot use it for taking photos. This would be a nice feature to have
Despite some small shortcomings, overall, I would have to say that the phone has been great. I even dropped the phone a couple of times, but it did not get damaged. I would definitely recommend buying this phone.
Very nice phone with a lot of options September 4, 2007 I bought this phone as a gift for my sister in law that lives in Costa Rica. She is very happy with it. It works perfectly under their phone system since they only have one phone company operated by the government. The phone is very friendly to use and have very nice graphics too.
